An acre is 43, 560 square feet, about 200 feet by 200 feet.  It can be any shape.

Example:

The block occupied by Golden Oaks, bounded by Pico Alley / Diamond Avenue / El Centro Street / Meridian Avenue, is about 240 feet by 172 feet or about 94% of an acre.

Example:

The block southeast of the Metro stop, bounded by Throop Alley / Meridian Avenue / Monterey Road / Glendon Way, is about 305 feet by 836 feet = 254,980 square feet = 5.85 acres.  Currently this block has about 37 houses.  Each house has about a .16 acre lot, so each lot could have about 16 units under the 100 dwelling units per acre rule.  Around 6-1/2 house lots is one acre.

Height

65 feet is 5 to 6 stories tall.

85 feet is 8 to 9 stories tall.

Examples:

The Citizens Business Bank on Fair Oaks (red brick building across from Bristol Farms) is estimated by AI to be 45 feet tall.

The Rialto Theater on Fair Oaks is estimated by AI to be 50 feet tall at its tallest.
